Students: Changing the Vehicle on Your Permit
This article goes over the process of changing the vehicle associated with your parking permit.
1. Log in to the campus portal.
2. Select the Parking Services app to open the parking portal.
- Type "parking" into the search bar.
- Select Parking Services.
4. Select Add Vehicle.
Only one vehicle can be attached to a student parking permit at any given time.
5. Enter your Plate Number and select your Plate Type, State/Province, and Make of the vehicle from the drop-down menus. Then, click Next.
While not required, you can also add the Year, Model, Color, and Style of your vehicle.
If you have a new vehicle and don't have a license plate yet, provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) by entering the full number into the VIN field and the last seven digits into the Plate Number fields.
- Enter your Plate Number.
- Confirm your Plate Number.
- Select your Plate Type from the drop-down menu.
- Select your plate's State/Province from the drop-down menu.
- Select your vehicle's Make from the drop-down menu.
- Click Next.
6. Open the Vehicle Change Request Form.
8. In the Student Information section, enter your First Name, Last Name, CWID, Phone Number, and Campus Email Address.
You can use the yellow Next arrow to navigate to the form fields that you need to fill out (when you first open the form, the arrow will be labeled Start.)
- Enter your First Name.
- Enter your Last Name.
- Enter your CWID.
- Enter your Phone Number.
- Enter your Campus Email Address.
9. In the Vehicle Add Request section, enter your License Plate Number, Make, Model, and Color of the vehicle you want added to your permit.
- Enter your License Plate Number.
- Enter the Make of your vehicle.
- Enter the Model of your vehicle.
- Enter the Color of your vehicle.
10. Place checkmarks in the checkboxes to indicate that you have entered the correct information and acknowledge the terms.
- Check to certify that the above information is accurate and truthful.
- Check to confirm that you understand that failure to submit the correct vehicle information will result in a parking violation.
- Check to confirm that you understand that only one vehicle will be recognized as valid while parked on campus.
- Check to confirm that you have visited the Rules and Regulations for Parking and Transportation Services policies.
11. Click the Click here to sign box to add your signature. Then, enter the Date.
- Click the Click here to sign box to add a typed or drawn signature.
- Enter the Date.
Select how you would like to sign the document:
- Click the Type icon.
- Click on the signature line and then type your full name.
- Click Apply.
- Click the Draw icon.
- Use your mouse/stylus to draw your signature onto the signature line.
- Type your full name into the text box.
- Click Apply.
12. A message will appear at the bottom of the screen. Check the box to indicate that you accept the agreement. Then, click Click to Sign to submit the form.
- Place a checkmark in the box to confirm that you agree to the agreement.
- Click Click to Sign.
Parking will update the vehicle change within 2-3 business days.
